The Central Virginia Chapter of the American Meteorological Society is an organization of meteorologists and weather enthusiasts alike devoted to encouraging scientific literacy, promoting weather education, and spreading severe weather awareness to the community of the central Virginia area.

Ben Woods

President

Ben Woods has worked a variety of operational and research positions in meteorology for the past few decades and looks forward to leading the local Central VA AMS Chapter as president.

I have a physics degree from the college of charleston and currently operate the ambient toxics air monitoring site in virginia of VADEQ. I have a passion for the weather and will use that passion to improve the CVAAMS.
