On August 29th, meteorologists and weather enthusiasts gathered from all around central Virginia to come listen to Jim Duncan, chief meteorologist at NBC12. This meeting had 25 people in attendence, the highest to date! The CVAAMS chapter is growing steadily, and if you know anyone who would be interested in joining, please let them know about the CVAAMS.

Jim Duncan then went into detail about his career as a broadcast meteorologist and went into detail about his memories from Isabel and Gaston. A lively discussion was then held between members about various weather memories and also discuss about upcoming Hurricane Dorian and its potential impacts for the Carolinas and Virginia.

As a reminder, the Mid Atlantic Chaser Con is coming up on October 26th, 2019. Also, if you haven't already, please fill out our chapter survey.

The next meeting will be October 19th at the Math Science Innovation Center. Once I get a video file of Duncan's presentation, I will upload it below. Have a great day everyone and we can't wait to see you at our next meeting!

Attatchd below are pictures from the evening!
