Next Meeting August 29th at the Grapevine!

The next meeting of the Central Virginia Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) will be at 6:00 pm (5:00 pm if you want to join us for dinner), Thursday, August *29th*, 2019 (note date change!) at The Grapevine Restaurant, 11055 Three Chopt Rd, Henrico, Virginia.


Our speaker will be Jim Duncan, Chief Meteorologist, WWBT NBC12. The topic will be "Isabel and Gaston From A TV Meteorologist's Perspective: How Coverage of Tropical Systems Has Changed Over the Years".


Meeting agenda, subject to change:

1. Welcome/Introductions 2. Mid-Atlantic ChaserCon 2019 - Saturday, October 26th, 9-5 pm, Science Museum of Virginia, great list of speakers, early bird tickets now on sale through August 15th at Mid-Atlantic ChaserCon 2019

3. Reminder: Chapter survey*** 4. All Central Virginia Chapter AMS meetings are welcome to all with an interest in meteorology/weather (professional meteorologists and weather enthusiasts). Although encouraged, chapter members do not need to be members of the AMS.

Please feel free to invite others and distribute this email. The venue (The Grapevine's back room) is set up for around 20 people.
